Weeks 5-6

Welcome back!! So much exciting development of my study has occurred in the last few weeks. Here are some updates:

THIS WEEK

  1. The surveys were both send out and collected so many responses in just a week!!! (155 from the students and 73 from the faculty). There was no need to send out any reminders to people about completing the form, so I closed it on the first due date.
  2. I have created spreadsheets of all of the responses from students and faculty, and have color-coded, organized, and analyzed the results (super interesting!!).
  3. I emailed several people in preparation for my final project and am right now planning on doing some advisory programming in November, as well as a display in the entrance to the STEM building potentially including one of the TV monitors!

NEXT WEEK

  1. Make a new page focused on good representations of Autism in media (books/movies/TV) considering that was a popular way students and teachers receive education about Autism at DA and in preparation for my display!
  2. Make a NO MAYBE DEFINITELY list of what I want to include in my advisory programming and what I want to include in my display so that I can create clear goals for what I want to cover in my short time period.
  3. Record faculty video from last year!

FUTURE GOALS

  1. Write my presentation script (fit within the time frame and make it accessible + engaging) in preparation for a November due date
  2. Create a display in preparation for a December/next-semester due date

Thanks for reading!! See you next time 🙂
