I am still steadily working on the final stages of my project! It has been so interesting to see all the tiny logistics that are needed to make this work, but I have been sorting out most of them with the help of the lovely Ms. Rogers and am now ready to start drafting my final project. Here’s what has been going on:
THIS WEEK
- Made blog page on books/movies/TV, and am planning on including a QR code to it in my display instead of a video on the TVs
- Made a NO MAYBE DEFINITELY list of what I want to include in my advisory programming
- Finalized the date for my advisory programming (January 9th)
- Planned out advisory programming logistics (main goals, interactive element, etc.)
- correct misconceptions – talk about the survey and address misconceptions by providing correct info
- give baseline info – plus additional relevant info
- provide resources – why some lead to misconceptions and which ones are more legit
- Sent emails to figure out when I need to submit programming and set times to meet with Ms. Rogers to write clear instructions for advisors and run-through the video and activity
NEXT WEEK (Thanksgiving Break!)
- Write my presentation script draft
- Finalize logistics for the display (want to reserve the week of January 9th)
- Decide on an activity to add to advisory programming (Kahoot, Gimlet, questions to discuss, Google Doc questions) – make an experimental Kahoot or something
FUTURE GOALS
- Excess information goes into display parts
- Create Kahoot
- Write detailed instructions for advisors
- Take over on the DA Brainwaves Learning Support
- Record faculty video from last year!
See you all after break!!!
You are killing it, Kiersten! I’m so excited:-)
