Hello again!
Since we are almost reaching the end of February, I thought I would do a bit of a summary for you all of the basics of diagnosis inequalities based on gender, just to clear up some misconceptions for people who may not be educated on this (which is understandable considering the extreme lack of education and rather active misinformation about this topic)!
Since I don’t want to have a super long blog post and clog up my main feed, I have created a new page with a brief summary of diagnostic inequalities specifically focusing on how gender plays a role (although there are many other factors to look at as well, including race, genderqueerness, other disabilities, high-masking, etc.) and providing context for why many girls may struggle with getting diagnosed or with being believed even when they are diagnosed, which you can click above in Pages or access here.
Thank you for reading! See you all next week 🙂
